Amrit Virdi is a highly accomplished and seasoned Solicitor with over 40 years of experience in private client matters. As the head of the Conveyancing department, he specializes in Residential and Commercial Property transactions. With a notable track record, Amrit has successfully handled numerous property transactions, including sales, purchases, and transfers of equity. His expertise also extends to high-value commercial litigation cases in the Court of Appeal and Chancery Division.

Amrit is highly regarded for his extensive knowledge and advice on Wills and Probate matters, particularly involving substantial estates. He is committed to delivering exceptional results and ensuring total client satisfaction. Amrit’s meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication have earned him a strong reputation within the legal community.

David is a senior Solicitor with extensive experience of litigation work; including property litigation acting for both landlords and tenants; personal injury matters including road traffic accidents, accidents at work and public liability; commercial disputes and professional negligence. David also undertakes family work, including applications for contact with children and financial matters arising from divorces; and has additionally dealt with probate work and cases involving contested Wills.

David’s all-round experience gives him insight into the issues and he has an eye for detail. He has acquired extensive knowledge of Court procedure, frequently undertakes Court advocacy and negotiates settlements in many disputes. He has an empathy with people and sees it as his responsibility to advise clients at the outset if the case is not watertight or outside his area of expertise; and to negotiate the best possible outcome for the client at minimal cost to the client.

David offers a 30-minute consultation to advise on whether the client has a case. If David feels that there is little mileage in the claim, he does not charge. If the evidence in favour of the client is compelling, he will consider taking the case on a ‘no win no fee’ so that the client only pays for out of pocket expenses which the firm incurs.

Robert Wood qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and is head of our Leasehold Enfranchisement department.

He went on to work at the Leasehold Advisory Service in central London for nine years before returning to private practice.

In 2010 Robert qualified as a Notary Public and has a Notaries practice at our Maida Vale office. In 2015, Robert qualified as a property management and valuation surveyor and is the only solicitor/surveyor in the UK.

Robert’s areas of expertise are Collective Enfranchisement (buying the freehold), Lease Extensions, Right to Manage and the Right of First Refusal (the freeholder offering the freehold to the leaseholders). Robert recently completed what is probably the largest Right to Manage acquisition in the country.

Robert has a nationwide following in buying the freehold of leasehold houses which is a particular area of expertise. Most leasehold houses are located in Cardiff, Medway and the north of England. Robert has successfully purchased the freehold of leasehold houses on many occasions and is considered to be a nationally respected practitioner in this niche area of law.

Robert is an experienced conveyancer acting for clients whether they are buying or selling a property, transferring equity or remortgaging, to name but a few. He also deals with boundary disputes and service charge issues.

Robert is able to manage all of these areas of law, regardless of where the property is located or where you live. Robert is accomplished in drafting wills for clients and manages probate and probate related disputes.

Sashi qualified as a Solicitor in 2012 and specialises in immigration matters, as well as landlord and tenant disputes, where she acts for the tenant. She has had experience in dealing with the Home Office on various matters on behalf of her clients, to include removal decisions as well as nationality matters. She also has experience in unlawful eviction claims and has acted on behalf of tenants that have been taken advantage of.

Anand is a skilled Solicitor who qualified in March 2021 and has since been making significant contributions to the Conveyancing and Private Client departments. With a comprehensive understanding of both residential and commercial matters, Anand offers expert advice throughout the entire process, from initial stages to completion. His areas of expertise include sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages, and lease extensions.

Anand pursued his academic journey by reading Law (LLB Hons) at the University of Hertfordshire. He next completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law (London Bloomsbury).

Driven by a passion for innovation, Anand seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technology into his workflow, bringing a modernistic and highly efficient approach to his work. He prioritises client satisfaction, ensuring their objectives are met with excellence. His dedication has led him to establish strong relationships with a growing and diverse client base since joining the firm.

In addition to his legal responsibilities, Anand actively contributes to the practice’s management, overseeing the firm’s IT infrastructure and digital marketing endeavors.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Anand channels his creativity through professional wedding/event photography. He also enjoys playing field hockey, going to the gym and engaging in DIY projects. Notably, Anand accomplished the National 3 Peaks Challenge in 2015.

Ikleen qualified as a Solicitor in September 2017 and has worked predominantly on Personal Injury and Employment Matters. She is able to work both on small and large value cases and has represented clients who have suffered life-changing injuries as a result of Road Traffic Accidents, injuries at work and any Public Liability Matters. Ikleen will consider taking matters on a ‘No Win No Fee’ basis if the prospects of the case are high. On Employment matters, Ikleen has advised both Employers and Employees on a wide range of employment issues and can draft/advise on Settlement Agreements. Ikleen also deals with a wide range of private client matters including Probate, drafting of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorneys and assists on Conveyancing transactions. Ikleen is fluent in Punjabi.

Ikleen has key negotiation skills and is able to reach settlements quickly and efficiently and has represented clients against large corporations. Ikleen is known for her patience and professionalism amongst her clients and prides herself in client care.

Outside of work, Ikleen enjoys her time socialising with her friends and family. She keeps active by attending the gym and regular Zumba and yoga sessions. She is also a keen traveller.

Nishant is a Licenced Conveyancer. A highly-skilled conveyancer independently running and managing his case load in Conveyancing. Nishant is highly knowledgeable and experienced, with ten years industry experience. He possesses a wide skill set, including advising clients on various aspects of conveyancing in the firm.

Qualified as a Lawyer in India in 2006, he also holds a Master of Law Degree LLM from Queen Mary University of London. Since immigrating to the UK in 2011, he has been practising conveyancing law with reputable firms bringing a decade of experience with him.

Nishant lives in London with his wife and 2 daughters. Nishant will also be shortly starting the process of obtaining qualification as a probate practitioner.

When not at work Nishant enjoys listening to soft music, camping and taking long drives with his family.

Vanina is a Paralegal in our Residential Conveyancing department.

She has worked within the residential property sector since 2017 and is half-way though completing her CILEx qualification.

Vanina always has time to talk through the conveyancing process with clients, whether first time buyers or seasoned movers, and works hard to deliver the best possible results for them.

She not only assists the Private Client Team with correspondence and general administrative tasks, but she also deals with the drafting of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax paperwork.

With good attention to detail and a dedicated work ethic, she’s always on hand to provide quality support and assistance to all fee earners, clients and her colleagues.

Avtar is an Accounts Manager with over 30 years experience specialising in Solicitors Accounts in London. Prior to that, he was employed as a Legal assistant, Legal Cashier and Officer Manager for a Solicitor (who was then appointed a Judge of the High Court of Kenya) in Kenya.

Avtar attended non-examination courses in Accounts, Economics and Preliminary Law at Nairobi University.

Erin qualified as a Solicitor in July 2023 and brings her expertise to our Litigation and Private Client departments.

Her educational journey began with a degree in English Literature from the University of Westminster, followed by the successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2019. Subsequently, Erin pursued her Legal Practice Course at City University, where she excelled and earned a distinction.

Driven by a commitment to professional growth, Erin is currently engaged in the prestigious STEP qualification, a testament to her dedication to becoming a qualified Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP) in the near future.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Erin indulges in her passions during leisure time. She finds joy in exploring new destinations, engaging in netball matches within a mixed social league, and immersing herself in captivating books.

Sankirtan is a Legal Assistant that works alongside Sashi Pararajasingam in the Immigration department. He studied Law (LLB Hons) at the University of Kent, Canterbury, and recently went on to complete his Legal Practice Course at the University of Law (London Moorgate) with a Distinction. Sankirtan has had some experience in dealing with the Home Office in immigration matters, as well as dealing with the Courts and Tribunals on behalf of clients’ matters.

Outside of work, Sankirtan relaxes by playing the violin and the piano. He often takes part in concerts and performances around the UK.

Razan is a paralegal who works alongside Sashi Pararajasingam, mainly working in the Immigration department.

She studied Law (LLB Hons) at the University of Nottingham and recently completed her Legal Practice Course at BPP University (London Holborn), attaining a distinction.

Razan is bilingual in English and Arabic, written and spoken, enabling her to communicate more easily with our international clients.

Outside of work, Razan is an ex-professional football player who played for the Women’s National Team of her home country, Bahrain. She also enjoys playing volleyball, which she played competitively at University, in addition to tennis, skiing and going to the gym.

Kajahltha is a paralegal who works alongside Sashi Pararajasingam mainly dealing with Immigration and possession matters.

Her qualifications include a LLB from Middlesex University and she has also completed her BPTC at University of Law London.

She has experience working for international law firms such as Freshfields and Clyde Co. Kajahltha has a wide range of experience in legal matters arising in the context of large-scale litigation as well as regulatory investigations. She worked also as a Fraud Investigation Assistant at Ernst & Young in Germany.

Kajahltha has a keen interest in cultures and people, and likes travelling to different destinations, trying exotic foods. Kajahltha is trilingual in English, German, and Tamil.

Edward is a paralegal who works alongside Sashi Pararajasingam and mainly deals with immigration and possession matters.

His qualifications include a double honours degrees in Economics and Engineering from The University of Birmingham. After graduation, he enjoyed a career at Morgan Stanley, before becoming sole proprietor of a business investing in the London residential property market for over 20 years.

Edward enjoys travelling, the cinema and spending time with his family in his spare time.

Alexandra is a paralegal who assists the Team and mainly deals with Wills and Probate and Conveyancing matters.

She studied Law (LLB Hons) at Anglia Ruskin University and graduated with a First Class Honours. She was named Top Achiever during her academic study. Recently, she also completed a Paralegal Training Course with Lead Academy.

She is willing to go the extra mile in achieving total satisfaction of clients. She strives to achieve perfection in any given tasks be it her studies or professional life.

Parita qualified as an Indian lawyer in 2018 and is working alongside Nishant Katira, Anand Virdi and Erin Kennedy, assisting in Conveyancing, Wills and Probate matters.

She also assists the teams with correspondence and general administrative tasks.

She pursued her studies in Law (LL.B.) in India, followed by a Master of Law Degree (LL.M.) from Queen Mary University of London.
