Robert Wood qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and is head of our Leasehold Enfranchisement department.
He went on to work at the Leasehold Advisory Service in central London for nine years before returning to private practice.
In 2010 Robert qualified as a Notary Public and has a Notaries practice at our Maida Vale office. In 2015, Robert qualified as a property management and valuation surveyor and is the only solicitor/surveyor in the UK.
Robert’s areas of expertise are Collective Enfranchisement (buying the freehold), Lease Extensions, Right to Manage and the Right of First Refusal (the freeholder offering the freehold to the leaseholders). Robert recently completed what is probably the largest Right to Manage acquisition in the country.
Robert has a nationwide following in buying the freehold of leasehold houses which is a particular area of expertise. Most leasehold houses are located in Cardiff, Medway and the north of England. Robert has successfully purchased the freehold of leasehold houses on many occasions and is considered to be a nationally respected practitioner in this niche area of law.
Robert is an experienced conveyancer acting for clients whether they are buying or selling a property, transferring equity or remortgaging, to name but a few. He also deals with boundary disputes and service charge issues.
Robert is able to manage all of these areas of law, regardless of where the property is located or where you live. Robert is accomplished in drafting wills for clients and manages probate and probate related disputes.
